Nicholson Green Productions

Matthew Green created Nicholson Green Productions (NGP) in 2021 to develop projects for UK touring and West End theatre.

NGP's first production of Harry Hill and Steve Brown's TONY! [The Tony Blair Rock Opera] premiered at the Park Theatre in 2022 prior to a UK Tour in 2023 and earned critical acclaim for its 'colossally tasteless and highly entertaining' take on the story of Britain's first pop Prime Minister.

Alongside NGP, Matthew is a General Manager for InTheatre Productions on Grease (Dominion Theatre & UK Tour), Back to the Future: The Musical (Adelphi Theatre) and The Time Traveller’s Wife (Apollo Theatre). He has previously helped manage productions for Mark Rubinstein Ltd, including Company (Gielgud Theatre), TINA - The Tina Turner Musical (Aldwych Theatre), SWEAT (Gielgud Theatre), Beautiful: The Carole King Musical (UK & Ireland Tour) and La Soirée (Aldwych Theatre & International Tour). Prior to his work at MRL he managed a number of productions as a freelance producer, including serving as Producer and Creative Consultant on the Greater Manchester Mayoral Assembly staged at The Lowry in 2017.

Matthew is a member of the League of Independent Producers and has also recently served on the SOLT BECTU Negotiating Committee.

Before his time in production, Matthew nearly made the mistake of becoming a lawyer after earning his LLB (Hons) Law Degree from Durham University. He was also a NODA and D’Oscar nominated performer, but thankfully swapped his tap shoes for spreadsheets.
